Boiled wool is made by washing knit wool  fabric in hot water. This shrinks the fabric into a dense and soft fabric that is warm, water resistant, non-itchy and durable.

  Spot cleaning is preferable. Apply pressure with a cool damp cloth and gentle wool detergent. Pat dry to remove excess moisture and air dry. Ironing should not be necessary. If it is use a cool iron separated by a towel to prevent shrinkage. Do not steam, bleach or dryclean.
